What do you need to do?

~Mark the top of your quilt top and quilt backing.  Some patterns are directional and I want to make sure I quilt it correctly for you.

~The top should be squared and laying flat; ruffly quilts will have puckers or tucks in them.

~The backing and batting should both be the same size as each other but 3-5 inches bigger than the top on all four sides (6-10 inches longer and wider than the top).  I need the extra fabric to hold it on the leaders and clamp it on the sides while quilting.

~The backing fabric should be squared and pressed flat with all creases pressed out.  It is much easier to get rid of the creases before your quilt is quilted than after.

~The top seams should be pressed flat.  Seams are stronger when pressed flat to one side as opposed to open, but I will quilt it either way.

~All three layers should be unattached to each other.  I need to "load" the backing first, then the batting and the top last, one at a time.

~Everything you send must be clean and free of pet hair.  I do not wash anything here and my husband is allergic to cats.

~Cut all threads/thread tails off the back of your top.  If they are left on they may show through the fabric.

~I require payment at the time your quilt is completed but before I return it.  I do not expect a deposit.  I will send you a picture of your completed quilt and mail the quilt back to you once I receive your payment.

~Please don't forget to include all of your information with your quilt.
